New Zealand becomes second country to approve MDMA for severe PTSD treatment

New Zealand's pharmaceutical regulator Medsafe approved pharmaceutical-grade MDMA for treating severe PTSD on Friday, making the country only the second in the world to do so after Australia in 2023. Two psychiatrists have been granted the right to prescribe the substance to patients with the condition.
