Windfall Tax on Energy Companies to Return This Autumn Without Retroactive Effect

Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka told TVP 3 Warszawa on Thursday that a revised windfall tax bill targeting energy companies will be ready this autumn. The key change is the removal of retroactive provisions, meaning companies will not be taxed on past profits. The previous version of the bill drew criticism precisely for that retroactive mechanism.
