Flock taught police to surveil protesters using its licence plate camera network

Surveillance company Flock Safety hosted a webinar teaching police how to use its automated licence plate reader network to monitor protests, parades and public events such as Mardi Gras and Fourth of July celebrations. Market management director Caity Peak demonstrated how real-time crime centres can track gatherings labelled "established events." The training materials contradict Flock's public claim that its technology is used solely for solving violent crime.
