Driverless Wayve and Uber robotaxis launch on London streets

Driverless robotaxis from British AI firm Wayve are now available in London through the Uber app, marking the company's first mass-market deployment. Wayve plans to expand the service to Tokyo and 10 other cities. The launch is a setback for Google's Waymo and China's Baidu, both of which had been targeting Europe as a largely untapped autonomous-vehicle market.
