One immune receptor may drive aging — blocking it kept mice youthful

Aging may be partly driven by immune cells losing their ability to clear out damaged, inflammation-promoting cells. Researchers found that blocking a single receptor restored that cleanup process in mice. The results were striking — organs, muscles and memory in treated mice remained remarkably youthful, suggesting a potential new target for anti-aging therapies.
