Russian pressure has paradoxically strengthened Baltic states' defences
Russia's intensifying pressure on Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia has paradoxically strengthened rather than destabilised the Baltic states. Instead of causing panic, Moscow's aggression has compelled the three countries to improve their societal resilience and make up for years of neglect in defence. The Baltic nations have systematically developed both military and civilian capabilities in response to the threat.
