Parliamentary committee backs Berek's nomination to Constitutional Tribunal

The Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee approved Maciej Berek's candidacy for a seat on Poland's Constitutional Tribunal. PiS-backed candidate Artur Kotowski received a negative opinion. The final vote on the new Tribunal judge is scheduled for a plenary Sejm session on Friday.
