Sony and Microsoft argue they have no duty to pass tariff refunds on to customers

Lawyers for Sony and Microsoft argued in two separate lawsuits that the companies are not required to pass tariff refunds back to consumers. Both companies had raised prices of PlayStation and Xbox consoles in 2025 in response to US-imposed tariffs. The US Supreme Court ruled those tariffs illegal, allowing the companies to apply for refunds.
