White House pressured US space firms to skip Macron's Paris space summit

A White House official told companies including SpaceX, Stoke Space, K2 Space and Astra that attending President Macron's two-day space summit at Paris's Grand Palais could be seen as tacit support for EU policy positions. Though the administration stressed the choice was theirs, industry representatives described the communication as clear discouragement. The summit is expected to draw delegations from more than 120 countries.
