DOJ: States must report undocumented immigrants to DHS or lose federal funding

The US Department of Justice issued a new legal opinion requiring states to report undocumented immigrants to the Department of Homeland Security or risk losing federal funding. The requirement applies to funds states receive for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and Supplemental Security Income programs.
