Two tankers hit mines in Strait of Hormuz, crews evacuated amid fires

Two tankers struck mines in the Strait of Hormuz, causing fires on both vessels and forcing their crews to abandon ship. Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed the ships had attempted to pass through an "illegal route" near Oman at the urging of the US military.
