Fire near Widzew Łódź stadium — one hospitalised, Polish Cup match played as scheduled

A building on Piłsudskiego Street in Łódź caught fire on Wednesday afternoon, just a few hundred metres from Widzew's stadium. Thirty firefighters were deployed and one person was taken to hospital. The Polish Cup match between Widzew and Korona Kielce, scheduled for 20:30, went ahead as planned.
