Warsaw bourse closes in the green despite weak Europe; PGE and Azoty lead

Polish stock indices recovered from morning losses to close in positive territory, outperforming a broadly declining European market. Energy companies and the banking sector drove the gains, with PGE leading the WIG20 index after impressing investors with its results. Grupa Azoty and Bumech were the standout performers in the mWIG40 and sWIG80 segments respectively.
