Google defeats US bid to force sale of its ad tech business

A US judge ruled in April 2025 that Google illegally monopolises publisher ad servers and the ad exchanges that sit between buyers and sellers. Despite finding antitrust violations, the court rejected the US government's demand that Google be forced to sell those parts of its business. Google's ad tech structure will therefore remain intact following the ruling.
