Parliamentary Committee Backs Up to 1 Billion PLN Extra for Farmers' Widow Pension

Poland's parliamentary Committee on Public Finances adopted legislative amendments to a bill enabling additional funding for the widow's pension for farmers. The changes would allow up to 1 billion PLN in extra funds to be channelled to the pension fund administered by KRUS, the agricultural social insurance institution. The move is intended to ensure continued widow's pension payments for insured farmers.
