UNIFIL peacekeepers patrol south Lebanon caught between Israel and Hezbollah

Since this spring, Israel has occupied around 6 percent of Lebanese territory. About 600 French soldiers from the UN's UNIFIL force continue to patrol the zone, documenting violations of UN resolutions by both Israel and Hezbollah. The peacekeeping mission faces deep uncertainty about its future.
