Polish women earn less throughout their lives — income gap widens sharply at retirement

An analysis of tax returns from nearly 370,000 people has revealed a far deeper income gap between women and men in Poland than Eurostat data suggests. The financial disparity grows throughout women's working lives and is most severe at retirement. While Poland boasts one of the EU's smallest gender pay gaps in raw wage data, the broader income inequality is significantly larger.
