Personalised melanoma vaccine shows breakthrough results in phase III trial

A personalised melanoma vaccine combined with immunotherapy significantly reduces the risk of death and distant metastases in melanoma patients. The phase III trial enrolled around 1,100 patients, including more than 50 from Poland. Professor Piotr Rutkowski, who participated in the study, described the results as a breakthrough for oncology.
