Slovenian parliament strips ex-PM Golob of immunity in police-meddling probe
Slovenia's parliament unanimously voted — with all 75 lawmakers present, including Golob himself — to lift parliamentary immunity from former Prime Minister Robert Golob. Prosecutors are investigating allegations that after taking office in 2022, Golob pressured Interior Minister Tatjana Bobnar over police staffing decisions. Bobnar resigned in December 2022 and reported the alleged pressure to prosecutors and the anti-corruption commission; Golob denies wrongdoing.
