A1 motorway crash near Częstochowa: inspector was en route to check works, arrived too late

Poland's road authority GDDKiA admitted that on the day of the A1 motorway crash near Częstochowa, an official was travelling to inspect roadworks safety measures but did not arrive in time. He had earlier inspected identical works on the adjacent carriageway. The construction companies involved in the repairs declined to comment, with one secretary hanging up the phone saying "I can't help, goodbye."
