Putin vows peace while ordering new strikes on Ukrainian cities and energy grid

Vladimir Putin declared Russia is ready for a "lasting and full peace" in Ukraine, while simultaneously announcing continued offensives toward the Ukrainian cities of Sloviansk and Kramatorsk. Russia is also preparing strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure ahead of winter. Putin predicted Ukraine would "break down" under military pressure.
