Rescuers blocked by mud as hundreds of workers remain trapped in Nepal hydropower tunnels

Rescue teams in Nepal have been unable to reach hundreds of workers believed trapped inside hydropower tunnels for more than a week following a catastrophic flash flood in the Himalayan region. Officials said many of the tunnels remain completely blocked by mud and debris, preventing access. Hope of finding survivors is diminishing as the search enters its second week.
