New building standards from 20 September: acoustics, lifts and fire safety in flats

The Polish government is working on a draft that would update technical standards for new residential buildings, potentially taking effect on 20 September. The changes cover stricter acoustic insulation requirements, accessibility for people with disabilities, mandatory lifts and fire safety rules. Developers will lose much of their current flexibility in these areas.
