Linette and Fręch matches at US Open suspended due to rain, to resume Wednesday

The first-round US Open matches between Magda Linette and Francesa Jones, and Magdalena Fręch and Iva Jović, were suspended due to rain. Both matches will resume on Wednesday New York time. Fręch took to the court after a lengthy delay, just after 3:00 a.m. Polish time, with the first set level at 4–4 when play was halted.
