Opinion: Poland's judicial independence test is poisoning the courts

Former minister Jacek Czaputowicz argues that Poland's judicial independence test, introduced four years ago as a compromise between old and new judges and in response to EU Court of Justice demands, has failed to restore peace in the courts. He contends the mechanism is instead poisoning both the judiciary and public life in Poland.
