Polish parliament to exceed 1bn zloty in spending; KRRiT demands 50%-plus budget hike

Poland's Sejm will for the first time exceed one billion zloty in annual expenditure, while the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) is seeking a budget increase of more than 50 percent for 2027. Several state institutions are also planning to hire new staff. Critics describe the requests as unusually large from institutions typically shielded from budget cuts.
