France to impose levy of up to €20 per garment on ultra-fast fashion brands

France plans to introduce a levy on "ultra-fast fashion" items, targeting brands such as Shein and Temu. The fee could reach nearly €20 per garment by 2030. The measure is designed to curb the environmental impact of the ultra-fast fashion industry.
