Álvarez stays at Atlético as transfer window closes without move to Barcelona

The summer transfer window has closed at midnight without Julian Álvarez moving to FC Barcelona. Atlético Madrid consistently refused to sell the Argentine striker to their La Liga rivals. Álvarez will remain in Madrid at least until the January window.
