Pistol found in lake offers hope in French cold case murder of al-Hilli family

Saad al-Hilli was shot dead along with his wife and mother-in-law during a family holiday in eastern France in September 2012 in a case that remains unsolved. The discovery of a pistol in a nearby lake has given investigators fresh hope of a breakthrough in the long-running cold case.
