Russian bars closing en masse in Moscow and Krasnodar as consumers tighten belts

Hundreds of bars have closed across Russian cities as residents cut back on spending, according to data from the 2GIS app cited by the newspaper Vedomosti. The biggest wave of closures has hit Moscow and Krasnodar. The trend follows an earlier wave of restaurant closures in the country.
