Iga Świątek has reclaimed the top position in a special ranking ahead of the US Open, 11 months after last leading it. Her return to the summit was secured by winning the Toronto Masters 1000 event and reaching the Cincinnati semi-final. The Polish player displaced an American Grand Slam champion from the top spot.
