Residents near Białystok block solar farm expansion, council rejects development plan
Residents of seven villages in the Zabłudów municipality near Białystok are protesting a wave of solar farm applications, with panels already approved for 500 hectares and 12 more applications pending. The local council rejected the general development plan, halting further solar investments. However, the move also freezes residential building permits from September 1.
