France to charge up to €20 per garment on Shein and Temu fast fashion

France is introducing a levy on "ultra-fast fashion" items sold by platforms such as Shein and Temu. The fee could reach nearly €20 per garment by 2030. The measure aims to curb the environmental damage caused by cheap, disposable clothing.
