Poland's green investment hits record 22.9bn PLN in 2025, but just 0.58% of GDP

Poland's environmental investment reached a record 22.9 billion PLN in 2025, yet this represented just 0.58% of GDP — the second-worst ratio in seven years. The nominal record was driven largely by the introduction of a deposit-return system, which boosted spending on waste management. Despite the headline figure, the share of the economy devoted to green investment remains near historic lows.
