New school meal standards in Poland: more vegetables and fruit, less sugar and processed food
New nutritional regulations for Polish schools and preschools have come into force, requiring more vegetables, fruit and wholegrain products, less sugar, fewer ultra-processed foods and water as the default drink. The Health Ministry says the goal is to build healthy eating habits from an early age. A nutritionist notes that changing menus is important but not sufficient on its own.
