NASA's Roman Space Telescope launches to probe dark matter and distant worlds

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has launched on a journey to the L2 Lagrange point, 1.5 million kilometres from Earth. It will scan vast regions of the cosmos for clues about dark matter, dark energy and distant worlds, operating roughly 1,000 times faster than Hubble and generating 1.4 terabytes of data per day.
