Cornelian cherry: fruit suppressed under communism is making a comeback
The cornelian cherry largely disappeared from Polish orchards for decades, in part due to communist-era agricultural policies. Today it is making a comeback in jams, juices and infusions, and researchers are taking interest in its nutritional profile, which is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.
