BepiColombo probe enters Mercury orbit on Thursday after eight-year journey

After an eight-year journey, the BepiColombo probe will separate its Mercury Transfer Module (MTM) from two science orbiters on Thursday — a key step before entering Mercury's orbit. Instrument tests will then begin, including a device co-developed by Polish scientists.
