Russia's Starlink rival falters — Rasswiet satellites fail to reach target orbit

The second batch of Russia's Rasswiet communication satellites has failed to reach its planned operational altitude, according to the latest report from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). The setback represents another blow to Moscow's ambitions to build a domestic satellite internet system comparable to Starlink. The failure points to continuing technical difficulties in Russia's space programme.
