312 people killed on Polish roads during this summer's holidays

Police have summarised this summer's road safety figures: 293 fatal accidents claimed 312 lives in Poland — 35 fewer deaths than the previous year. Deputy Inspector Robert Opas of the National Police Headquarters called it a "significantly calmer" holiday period, though officers stressed the number of accidents remains too high.
