Ex-White House teleprompter operator fined for $107,500 prediction market insider trade

Gabriel Perez, a former White House teleprompter operator, used advance access to Donald Trump's speeches to place bets on "presidential mention market" contracts on prediction platforms. He earned more than $107,500 through this insider trading scheme. The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) caught up with him and imposed a fine.
