Oil prices climb as US and Iranian attacks fuel escalation fears
Oil prices are rising amid fears of further escalation following attacks by the US and Iran. Brent crude peaked at $94.40 a barrel on 21 August, and has since traded in the $86–$91 range after a memorandum of understanding lapsed. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East remain the main driver of market uncertainty.
