Boniek: Poland sells its best players and buys second-rate foreigners instead
Zbigniew Boniek says Polish football's biggest problem is selling talented young Poles abroad and buying low-quality foreign replacements. In the latest PKO Ekstraklasa round, 118 foreign players featured — at least six per team, with some clubs fielding just two Poles. Górnik legend Stanisław Oślizło questioned what coach Jan Urban could even have been scouting given the lack of Polish players.
