NBP wants banks legally required to offer cash withdrawals to customers
The National Bank of Poland (NBP) plans to propose a legal change that would require banks to offer cash withdrawals — an obligation that currently does not exist in Polish law. The NBP intends to introduce the change as part of work on the financial market development act. The proposal aims to protect citizens' access to cash amid the growing digitalisation of banking services.
