Childcare before 1999 may boost your pension — check your ZUS ruling

People who cared for a child before 1999 may be entitled to a higher pension if ZUS did not correctly account for that period when calculating their initial pension capital. The increase is not automatic — pensioners need to check whether ZUS included the childcare period in its calculations and on what terms.
