Polish top court: anonymous online donations may be treated as gifts, not taxed

Poland's Supreme Administrative Court ruled that anonymous online payments to crowdfunding campaigns may be treated as donations rather than taxable income. Tax authorities had previously demanded tax on such funds, burdening people raising money for medical treatment. The ruling could benefit thousands of crowdfunding organisers across Poland.
