Xi and Putin meet ahead of SCO summit in Kyrgyzstan
Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russia's Vladimir Putin held talks at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Kyrgyzstan, marking the bloc's 25th anniversary. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian also attended and held bilateral talks with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The SCO is strengthening trade ties among members as it seeks to offer an alternative to the US-led international order.
