Diana Sznajder defeated Daria Snigur 6:0, 6:4 in the first round of the US Open. Snigur is coached by Dawid Celt — Poland's BJK Cup captain and former coach of Agnieszka Radwańska. Poland's Magdalena Chwalińska had also already exited the tournament.
