US Army without Senate-confirmed chief of staff for over 150 days
The US Army has gone more than 150 days without a Senate-confirmed Army chief of staff, a situation not seen in half a century. The nomination of acting chief Gen. Christopher LaNeve is stalled due to opposition from some Republicans, despite Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth expressing full confidence in him. No quick resolution appears to be in sight.
