CPN fuel scheme ends: petrol stations in Zakopane run dry

On Monday, the last day of Poland's CPN fuel subsidy programme with reduced VAT, petrol stations in Zakopane and surrounding areas ran out of fuel. Long queues formed in the afternoon and some stations closed after 8 p.m. due to exhausted stocks. From Tuesday, petrol prices are expected to rise by around 80 groszy per litre and diesel by nearly 70 groszy.
